Model of Participation in the Educational Standard Assurance of the Small Schools under the Office of Basic Educational Commission

Abstract


This study explores participation in educational standard assurance for small schools, aiming to enhance equitable learning and quality education. The research investigates participation components and indicators, examines current and desired conditions, develops a participatory model, and evaluates outcomes. The study, which was conducted in small schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission, involved teachers, administrators, and stakeholders. Data collection methods included group discussions, questionnaires, interviews, and assessments, with analysis using basic statistical methods. The findings revealed five components and thirteen indicators of participation, with high appropriateness levels. Current participation was moderate, while desired levels were high. The developed curriculum consisted of five units totaling 120 hours. Implementation led to adjustments in school administrators' and teachers' working processes, emphasizing increased participation. The study highlights the importance of stakeholder involvement in quality assurance for small schools to achieve educational standards comparable to those of larger institutions.
